As part of the Web3Expressão event series, the workshop “Artificial Intelligence Beyond the Surface” will take place on July 9th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. In this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to delve deeply into the technical and ethical issues surrounding AI.

As part of the Dafne+ research project, we are pleased to collaborate with Distributed Design Platform and invite João Ribeiro, who will provide an introduction to the creative use of AI and showcase its future potentials through selected examples.

Description

In collaboration with Distributed Design Platform as part of the Dafne+ research project, we are inviting João Ribeiro for the first AI centered workshop On July 9th. From 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, we will explore the diverse facets of AI together, examining not only the technical aspects but also discussing ethical and political questions.

Through illustrative examples and interactive demonstrations, participants will learn how AI can be used creatively without losing sight of ethical principles. The goal is to develop a deeper understanding of how AI works and its impact on our daily lives. We will look at its history and explore not only its past and present, but also its future potentials.

João Gabriel Ribeiro is an essayist and designer, co-founder and editor of Shifter magazine. He graduated in Marketing and Advertising from ESCS and is driven by an insatiable curiosity and a constant pursuit of learning in areas such as technology, design, and new media. He seeks to build bridges between different fields and expand his horizons. With a longstanding interest in natural sciences and a tendency towards social sciences, he explores the intersection of these domains. He provides critical perspectives on contemporary phenomena through essays, articles, and interviews for Shifter, as well as in more extensive works like “Uma Questão de Inteligência.
