On the Northern tip of the island you’ll find Sziget Beach. It takes a little bit of time to walk here, you weave in and out of glamping tents and then through some trees, but once you arrive it feels like stepping into a different world. The rest of the festival site is always moving, always changing and full of energy. But Sziget beach feels different – it feels very open, airy and tranquil. There’s a sensation of stillness that’s quite relaxing. People here were unwinding, recovering from hangovers and listening to calming music whilst reflecting on their festival experience so far. To recreate that feeling of stillness, I picked up a rock from the beach and also sat down, to capture the scene in front of me. – Tim King, SzigetVibes 2022 Artist-in-Residence.
