This image was created on day one of the festival (you can tell by how dust-free the tents are!). Once everyone had arrived and finished setting up their tents, most people headed straight out to explore and grab a beer. Leaving all but one person – surrounded by a sea of empty tents – who relished the alone time, and took a moment to study the festival programme first. – Tim King, SzigetVibes 2022 Artist-in-Residence.

Meet the artist

Tim King is an award-winning London-based illustrator, known for his reportage approach, where he immerses himself in environments and uses drawings to capture stories as they happen. His work and creative process has been featured in a variety of British publications and garnered wide interest from the media. Nimi Collectibles and SzigetVibes partnered with Tim specifically for the 2022 Sziget Festival. Tim was able to capture the most memorable experiences and quintessential festival vibes across the Island.
