Description

On day three of the festival, I spent time in the Samsung Colosseum – a venue notorious for its non-stop partying, colourful clothing and pumping music. It was mid-afternoon when I arrived, and the music was already in full swing. Yet in the middle of the dancefloor, I discovered a pair of ravers taking a power nap on an airbed which they had placed right in the middle of an energetic crowd. It was too funny not to draw! – Tim King, SzigetVibes 2022 Artist-in-Residence.

Meet the artist

Tim King is an award-winning London-based illustrator, known for his reportage approach, where he immerses himself in environments and uses drawings to capture stories as they happen. His work and creative process has been featured in a variety of British publications and garnered wide interest from the media. Nimi Collectibles and SzigetVibes partnered with Tim specifically for the 2022 Sziget Festival. Tim was able to capture the most memorable experiences and quintessential festival vibes across the Island.
