Description

Day two of the festival was hot. Very hot. So much so that water cannons – originally designed to create snow on ski slopes – were being used to cool the air. Near the main stage, I met these three lads who had literally found the coolest seat in the house. For me, this image sums up that satisfying feeling which hits you when walking through the fine vapour of the water cannon. – Tim King, SzigetVibes 2022 Artist-in-Residence.

Meet the artist

Tim King is an award-winning London-based illustrator, known for his reportage approach, where he immerses himself in environments and uses drawings to capture stories as they happen. His work and creative process has been featured in a variety of British publications and garnered wide interest from the media. Nimi Collectibles and SzigetVibes partnered with Tim specifically for the 2022 Sziget Festival. Tim was able to capture the most memorable experiences and quintessential festival vibes across the Island.
